What’s something that changed your life when you read it?
“To Kill a Mockingbird” made me face some hard truths.

What do you do in your free time?
Hang with Christina and our four great kids. SEC football is high on that list, too.

Favorite Food:
Ice cream. And coffee to drink.

Greatest Challenge:
Getting day-to-day done when my head is filled with what could be, might be, and should be. For example, the daily walk of prayer and Scripture is critical for me to understand where God is working in my life today.

What was your first job?
I was a busboy at a catfish house. We would stir the coleslaw in the afternoon, bus the tables during dinner, and help clean the kitchen after close.

Favorite Movie:
Forrest Gump

What’s something that changed your life when you read it?
“In His Steps: What Would Jesus Do?” by Charles Sheldon had a big impact when I was young in my faith.

What do you do in your free time?
We watch a lot of shows on the Disney Channel.

Favorite Food:
The Chicken Bowl at Street Café.

Greatest Challenge:
Getting up early enough each morning to run a mile each day.

What was your first job?
Loading 80 lb bags of ice on palates and loading the ice trucks at 4:00 am

Katie Blair - Director of Children’s Ministries and Co-Director of the WCM

Favorite Movie:
Jaws There is some masterful storytelling going on in scenes of that movie without one line of dialogue ever being spoken.  I am fascinated by the fact that one film can keep people from ever entering the water and if they do, they automatically think of the iconic theme song.

What’s something that changed your life when you read it?
Professionally, the book
The First Days of School by Harry and Rosemary Wong.  Personally, An American Summer by Frank Deford.

What do you do in your free time?
I like to read, walk, write, watch classic films, and travel. I’m a huge fan of exploring unusual places with good friends and family. We are constantly looking for new, off the beaten path places to visit.

Favorite Food:
Chocolate, egg rolls, and bacon. I also like cheese straws, but not just any kind. I have a friend that makes these amazing cheese straw cookies that are so good, they bring a tear to your eye.

Greatest Challenge:
Finding a balance between creativity and practicality.

 What was your first job?
Babysitting for families in the neighborhood I grew up in.
