SlideshowOur adult Chancel Choir rehearses on Wednesday nights at 7:00 p.m.  The Chancel Choir leads the worship for our 10:30 Sanctuary worship service.  Highlights of their musical calendar year include:  The Lessons and Carols Christmas Service and our Good Friday Tenebrae Service of Darkness.

We asked several of our choir members to identify some of the advantages they have discovered about being a member of our Aldersgate Chancel Choir.  Some of their responses follow:

"I don't have a great voice I just love to sing, I enjoy worshipping God through song."

"I love the friendships I've made.  I feel a comfortable, close bond in Christ with other choir members."

"I often find great support for my own spiritual growth as well as genuine concern for my prayer requests from other members"

"I enjoy the devotionals .... the message of our music often brings meaning to my life"

"Choir to me is a mid-week break - food for my soul"

"I find great encouragement through the focus on ministry"

"I enjoy being a part of a group that strives for excellence, I like making and hearing harmony"

"I like the sense of accomplishment I get when we're able to work on and sing challenging music"

We encourage you to become an active part in our Chancel Choir.  Music is one of God’s greatest gifts to us.  We believe participation in a choir is an avenue of service for those who have been given the gift of music.  Whether the gift is great or small, whether young or old, we have a place for you.  For more information about Aldersgate’s Music Ministry, call me at (334) 272-6152 or email [email protected].
