 Men's Bible Study - Tuesday Mornings 6:30 - 7:30 a.m. (Room 22)

Join us for breakfast, fellowship, and a look at God's Word.  We'll be done in time to get to work.  Breakfast is $2.

Fall Fellowship Breakfast - September 6th, 8 AM

Come join us for a pancake breakfast on Saturday, September 6^th in Room 20 (Fellowship Hall) at 8 am.  We’ll have a time of fellowship to start off the fall.  We’ll also have a “kick-off” of the preparation for the BBQ.  Tickets will be available to get to sell, sign up sheets for volunteering, and answers to your questions about the BBQ

BBQ PIt Clean Up Day - Saturday, October 4th, 7:30 AM

We’ll have a pit work day on Saturday, October 4^th starting at 7:30 am.  We’ll clean up the pit area and get it ready for the BBQ.  We will also split all of the wood to have it ready for burning – we will have hydraulic log splitters, but for those that want to do it the old fashioned way, you are more than welcome!  Call Robert Thompson (396-1174) or e-mail umm@aldersgateumc.org to sign up.

 

Annual UMM BBQ – October 17 and 18

The 24th Annual UMM BBQ will be October 16^th and 17^th.  As usual, we need lots of help cooking pork and chicken, cutting pork, working the kitchen, and cleaning up.  We also need help selling tickets.  The only way this event can be a success (after receiving energy from the Holy Spirit) is for us to SELL tickets.  We will have drive through pick-up service at the front of the church run by our Boy Scout troop and Cub Scout pack.  These boys receive some of the proceeds to fund their activities.  Dine-in will also be available in the CAC.  Don’t wait for someone to call you to sign up to work.  You can send an e-mail to umm@aldersgateumc.org indicating when you want to work from the list below.

 

Pork Cooking – 8 am Friday to 1 am Saturday

Pork Cutting – start around 2 or 3 am Saturday

Chicken Cooking – 12 am Saturday to noon Saturday

Kitchen (plate assembly) – 6 am to 3 pm Saturday

Cleanup – 8 am to 3 pm Saturday

Food pickup – Wed and Thursday prior
